Humanity has been busy and restless throughout the history of its existence to achieve new milestones. The proof of that we have left the Stone Age behind and live in a modern age is quite visible all around us, the high rise architecture, the development of complex machinery to serve us in our daily life to add a comfortable factor to our lives, the advancements in medical field. From exploring the depths of the oceans to discovering the alien planet’s far away from our solar system, from placing boots on moon to sending rover’s to Mars for inspection. The fact that 21st century is now termed as the ‘’Internet Era’’, one of the reasons you read an article that I have written is itself a visible reason to how much we have transformed ourselves to something better with passing time. Even though as humans we are proud of our achievements in different professional sectors but few questions arise in my head: Are we just working to succeed in our personal interests on daily basis or is there something more?

Under the label of success, Humans seem to be relating success to materialistic things. Aren’t we losing our personal life, the people we love, the ethical and moral values, care for humanity? Moreover, in our blind approach to success, are we really following the egalitarian practices which we often term as ‘’Law’’, which is a part of our constitutions? This decade is indeed one of the wonderful eras as we are paving our way to achieve unimaginable things. However, this is also one of the worst time phases in human history where life has no value as we are killing, cheating, stealing and demoralizing people just to achieve our personal goals just to make ourselves look superior. In simple words, there are human’s but with hardly any humanity left in them. As human’s we have become so selfish to not even think what world would we give our generations to come? The key issue of global warming that could have catastrophic affects for the human’s, melting glaciers with a possibility to wipe out the habitable lands. Is the world we plan to give to our future generations? , What a pity that our human traits have gone too negative that we are just busy to plan new invasions, win weapon races and spread false propaganda to show ourselves superior without considering that how severely the consequences of our actions in the present can harm our future.

Humans have indeed drifted away from their basic duties. The model of ethical and moral value’s we once had inherited from our ancestors is slowly turning into dust which will soon be blown by the wind. If we fail to turn down our egos in times to come, than it would be too late to preserve the true model our ancestors gifted us, a model with a complete manual based on which successful societies evolve and flourish.

These questions rule my head leaving me helpless but concerned on what can I do make a change in our mindsets. Every individual has a responsibility to play their part and think what are you doing for society out of the billion people living on this planet? If everyone of us starts to ask that question to themselves about their society duties to the society as an individual’s I am sure in time’s to come humanity would not only live but will flourish and will grow like a tree in a garden at full potential. The real ride will be when our future generations will praise us to handover them earth ever greener, beautiful and peaceful than ever before.

To my belief, Humanity should always be first. The feeling of being successful is not about undermining one another’s potential which seems to be the case today. God indeed said the mankind to be one of the superior creations because of our ability to think understand and learn. Even with this precious ability that is unlocking new doors for us, if we still fail to prioritize or make right choices we are no different than animals. After giving you a glimpse to my thoughts would you still believe that achieving materialistic things is success? It is indeed a question you must ask yourself.
